Colourfields

Mural⎪Latex and acrylic on wall⎪3 x 9 meter⎪2025

The 3 murals Colourfield 001, 002 and 003 where part of the group exhibition ‘From Sol to now’ at Icoon. Adaped to the characteristics of this exhibition space in a former bunker I painted a collection of colourfields. In the murals a connection can be seen with the perception of colours on a remote horizon. Aiming to create a moment for the viewer to stand still and let their mind wonder of to imaginary places.

Paradigm Shift_mural 01

Mural⎪Latex and acrylic on wall⎪4 x 10 meter⎪2025

The mural Paradigm Shift_mural 01, was part of the group exhibition ‘Tele Grey Flamingo Pink’ at Murals Inc. For the mural, I made a selection of four drawings from my every day drawing series ‘Paradigm Shift’. My goal was to create a visual translation of the energetic colour-note drawings rather then to recreate the original drawings in detail.

Paradigm Shift

Drawing⎪Oilpastel on paper⎪5 x 7 cm⎪2024

The mural was created during an artist-in-residence at POOS in Oosterbeek. During this workperiod I explored how conscious presence and attentive observation can contribute to a more intense experience of colour in our immediate surroundings.

Colourstudy 205

Mural⎪Latex and acrylic on wall⎪2,7 x 5 meter⎪2025

Spring Architecten commissioned me to design and make a mural in their office space. Based on an original colour study on paper, I re-designed the colour composition to create a new design matching the space and connected to the view outside. Looking over the river De Maas and the city of Rotterdam.
